Billy Franks Obituary

Billy Joe Franks, Jr. was born on September 4, 1957, in Longview, Texas, to the late Billy Joe Franks, Sr. and Daisy Bell Allen. On Friday, July 17, 2026, he peacefully departed this life in his hometown of Longview, leaving behind a legacy of friendship, hard work, and cherished memories.

Billy was well known throughout the Longview community, where he built a successful career as an automobile salesman. Over the years, he worked at numerous dealerships throughout Longview and the surrounding areas, earning the respect of both his customers and colleagues. Known for his outgoing personality and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Billy never met a stranger and had a gift for making others feel at ease.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Billy Joe Franks, Sr. and Daisy Bell Allen.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Waylon Franks; Jesse Franks and his wife, Sara, of Arlington, Texas; and Relinda Lane (Chris) of Hallsville, Texas. He was a proud grandfather to Avery, Camden, Evie, Logan, Joshua, Jacob, and Olivia, each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Billy is also survived by his stepfather, Charles Allen; his stepmother, Mary Louise Franks; his siblings, Judy Tubbs (Richard) of Kilgore, Texas, Lisa Slaughter of Waco, Texas, Roy Franks of Edinburg, Texas, James Franks (Tiffany) of Arlington, Texas, and Angela Ramirez (Tony) of Longview, Texas.

He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who will forever remember his warm smile, generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Billy's legacy is one of resilience, kindness, and genuine connection. Though his earthly journey has come to an end, the memories he created and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
