Angela Hughes

Mrs. Angela Hughes, was born on May 21, 1966, in Longview, Texas to Susie Horton and MC Mathis. She is preceded in death by her father, MC Mathis; and grandparents, Mary and Ocie Stoker and Emma Lee and Clifton Horton. 

Angela is a 1984 graduate of New Diana High School and also attended Northeast Texas Community College in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. 

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gilmer, Texas for many years. Her personality was full of sunshine, and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, watching television, and talking on the phone. 

 Mrs. Hughes leaves to cherish her memories to her husband, Charles Hughes of 25 years; three children, Erika Robinson, Shanekia White, and Nicholas Hughes; three sisters, Tracie Mathis of Desoto, Texas, Kimberly Shields of Dallas, Texas, and Nicollette Mathis of Houston, Texas; two brothers, MC Fitzgerald Jr. of Longview, Texas and Christopher Shields of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Jamal Hudley, Aaliyah Taylor, and Gabriel Taylor; and a host of family and friends.
